Any additional content that you download for The Sims on PC, can be added to the game by moving the file to Sims> Downloaded
Where ever you put the SIMS game on your Hard Drive, in other words, look for a folder called Downloaded. Put it all in there and then, if the game is on, exit the game and restart, it will all be there. If you delete the stuff from the Downloaded folder, the things will no longer be available, however, if you are using them already, they will still be in use, but no longer available for ADDITIONAL uses.

Well I go to thesims.com and have the same problem with skins. but I don't have Much trouble when downloading a house/family. But with ppl, like just one person, It ends up in the create a family part. Well I'm talking about the Sims on the computer. but anyway, if you download a house, look on the top of the screen and it should have a button that you can press that's like imported lots or something and then click on it and you will have it. If you have more than 1 house downloaded, it lets you scroll through them. I hope I was helpful!

PS

If your downloading objects, then is gets stored ON YOUR COMPUTER, not on the disk. :)
