75% Italian 25% Irish. I was raised Italian, with a lot of Italian culture food sayings and all that stuff. I couldn't imagine being to much of a mix. I love being Italian. It gives identity and almost like a guideline for life. Especially b/c I'm a New York Italian. If you heard me talk you would no it in a sec.

On top of that no matter how alone you feel in a certain situation, if there is another Italian, even if you don't know him/her, there is an instant connection of some sort.

I am 50% Dutch, and then the other half is a combination of Irish, Scottish, Polish, French and German. I enjoy being so many different heritages because then I can use it as an excuse to travel to different places. However, I do identify most with my Dutch heritage, as my grandparents both immigrated from the Netherlands and still enjoy their culture very much, and they have given me the opportunity to experience it also by living in the Netherlands for 5 months. I love it.

On my Dad's side I am 25% Polish, 12.5% Irish, 12.5% Scottish; on my Mom's side I am 12.5% Vietnamese, 25% Cambodian, 12.5% Chinese. I love it too! No one can ever guess what nationality I am-I have dark brown hair with natural red and blonde highlights, my eyes are kind of Asian looking but they are a light hazel color and my skin is light unless I go in the sun and then I get really dark. I can pass for almost anything and I get the best foods in the world during the Holidays!!!

The question is what you do with your heritage. Do you know, understand the languages, the cultures, the traditions? Just knowing "I am X% from such-and-such nation" is noting more than curios.

I am Hungarian, living outside Hungary. I speak and read fluently, but I don't practice it day-by-day. I can be proud to be Hungarian, but I don't care when the Hungarian football team wins or lose. SO what is the value of my heritage?
