No. ABC Family is a cable/satellite channel. ABC is the main network that shows your local news, The View, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Oprah, etc. ABC Family is a little brother to ABC where they show some of the old "TGIF" shows( Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Step By Step) and old WB/CW shows like 7th Heaven, Smallville, and Gilmore Girls. ABC basically bought out the "Family Channel" a while ago (at least 5 or 6 yrs ago) and made it into what it is now

ABC Family is the cable channel and ABC is the network on regular TV. ABC owns the ABC Family channel.

no they are not on the same channel. check your tv listing and find the correct channel for ABC Family. ABC Family is an American cable television network currently owned by Disney/ABC.

ABC is network TV. And ABC Family is a cable channel.
It would be a different channel number on every cable company.
On Time Warner, mine is 13 for ABC, and 57 for ABC Family.

No, sorry. ABC Family is on a separate channel.. for me on Long Island it's channel 39. The name basically says it all- it plays mostly "family" shows like Everwood, Smallville, Boy Meets World, Sabrina, Gilmore Girls, and Whose Line is it Anyway and a lot of movies during the holidays.

no, they are not the same thing, but they are the same commpany. they do not have all shows on the same. umm.....abc family has more shows and will show the 25 days of christmas. i'm not sure abc will, i think abc will only show winnie the pooh christmas movie , and charlie brown christmas movie

no. unfortunately, they are not the same. ABC Family is really oriented towards family shows and movies.
