Everytime I open Internet Explorer the website www.thesafetytool.com opens with the Security Center telling me to download all kind of antivirus programs. I have two active antivirus programs running on my computer, and I don't have this website set as my main homepage. Why does it keep popping up and how can I change that? I have even tried blocking that website, but it doesn't work.
Please help me out,
Thanx

The link below will tell you all you need to know about thesafetytool.com. Thesafetytool.com is a home page hijacker that is installed by a trojan called Zlob which masquerades as media codec. You probably tried to watch some video clip and were directed to download the fake codec, after which the trojan infected your PC. To remove it, download and scan your PC with SpyNoMore, it seems to be the most accurate program in detecting zlob infections.

By the way it is not free, but then again you should really question any so-called free solution. Isn't that how your computer got infected in the first place?!. The free scan will only check your system and show you the infections. If you choose to remove them, be prepared to pay.

First of all, get rid of one of the antivirus programs, because you can;t have more than one!(It's possible that this whole thing would come from this).
Secondly, get an anti-spyware program. here you have some free ones:

It is a homepage hijacker and is installed by a Smitfraud Trojan. Normal AV and AS programs cannot remove Smitfrauds. These two site do free Smitfraud removal. Use either one or both(if necessary) for the removal.

adware...

try adaware (lavasoft.de)
or Spybot S&D

Then use Firefox with NoScript plug-in as your web tool.
