im sure the ram is ok, i used 3 new sets already. plus im in dual channel which requires my to place both sticks right next to each other. as far as a new sys i think an AMD 4800+ x2 64 dual core, 2 sli 7900gt's, 2 twin crassair 1gbx2, fality 1 xps sound card, and 2 160gb stata drives chained together rocks

Greetings!

Your only hope is at boot up into setup (f8) and choose last know good configuration.
It appears you have a memory fault and even corrupt or broken memory stick.
Good Luck

First of all, RAM can be bad right out of the box. If you haven't tested it with MEMTEST 86+ then you really don't know if the new memory is good or not. Check to see if your new memory is seated properly in the DIMM sockets. The white tabs on the sides of the sockets are locks, and they will be locked if the memory stick is fully seated in the socket. You may want to see if they are in the proper sockets. If you have 4 sockets, the one closest to the CPU is where you want your first memory stick to be, then skip one socket to the right and install the second memory stick into it. If everything appears to be okay, try swapping the memory sticks around in the sockets.

Ahhh. The old screen of death. Try checking all plugs, and waiting a while before rebooting.
When rebooting start in Safe Mode.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
