Yes. I think environmentalists are really interfering busybodies, who enjoy trying to control other people's lives.
The government tries to jump on the bandwagon, but they just want to tax us to the hilt.
By the way, I would like to buy some genetically modified food, but am unable to do so because of the eco-fascists. So much for freedom of choice.

Theories and climate models give scientists some picture of what could happen. I think the major problem with the 'approaching climate change' is that it will be very hard to grow food crops, which means possible starvation in countries like the US or the UK! That is not much of a threat to the Earth (or the environment) it's more of a threat to people (and politicians etc.). The same is true for fuel consumption...the world is running out of oil so the war is on for oil. I don't think that these people really care about the environment in their hearts (otherwise we wouldn't be living in a consumer society), they just care about their own well-being.

Actually what he said is getting ever truer. You don't understand the global environment. There is a jet stream of warm water that keeps circling the earth in the water. If Greenland were to melt from global warming it would interrupt that jet stream of water.
Throwing us into an ice age. We are not going to burn up from global warming we are going to freeze to death. Those who survive the violent storms that will come before it and the coastal flooding. If all the calculations are correct South America the high range of mountains there on the equator in Colombia is the only people who will survive.

These Prats have cottoned on to a new way of trying to tell everyone what to do - It is a recent discovery for the Politically Correct ,Do Gooders , Town Hall Bullies , Nosey Parkers , Little Hitlers , and would be "Controllers" of all and Sundry . Additionally the Government are exploiting it with every Device and Opportunity to continue ripping as much money out of the Electorate as Possible - Creating a Climate of Fear . The Whole thing is a Total Load of Bollocks - A new Playground for the Mentally Disturbed

Agreed. People who can't do research on their own, and can't form their own opinions have nothing to do but believe the media. They will take everything on blind faith.
You have to understand that if this hysteria was not created, they would not get any funding for their "junk science" projects. When you step back and think about this in respect to the earth and time as a whole, you would have to be a complete idiot to believe that this global warming crap is caused by humans. It is like flipping a coin one time and making a prediction about the next 100 flips based on that one toss.

Yes, they can't connect with other people at an emotional level, so they transfer these suppressed caring feelings onto grand issues, such as global warming, Africa, animal welfare, poverty etc. I think also, that they are really anti-capitalists in disguise, using the enviroment as a means of attacking and controlling industry.

I agree. I think that all these enviro "mentalists" are just fascists trying to ram their thoughts and ideas down every other persons throat. "Ooooh you must recycle, you must cycle instead of drive, you must do this, you must do that". The Earth has been here about 4 billion years and goes through ice ages, solar flares, magnetic pole shifts etc...and guess what? We can't do nothing about it so why don't you envirotwats leave us alone!! You have no evidence for any of the junk you spout!

i'm sure most of them mean well, but unless they are really paying attention and happen to have a highly critical mind, they're "knowledge" of the environment is very superficial and based on watered down popular theories. al gore making a documentary doesnt really help matters either.

on this issue they are dead wrong, windfarms with windmills that have 10 times the output of conventional windmills can now be placed 20 miles offshore, where no one can claim they are an eyesore
