Thanks for all the great answers. What is the greatest mutational hazard in the human population?

The greatest mutational event occurs in bacteria, etc-but Ill assume you are speaking of humans. Radon gas, smoke, and UV light are all strong mutagens, and carcinogens-in general, since cancer is caused by genetic damage and mutation, the evidence for carcinogenesis is why I would say this- However, recent research shows that the primary force for sustained mutations to humans, and perhaps the primary cause of many cancers, are specific viruses, which actually go into cells and directly mutate genetic material, therefore I'd say viruses.
