Youve got alot of choices but i wouldnt listen to anyone who says remembering the titans cuz if they cant say it right then thier dumb...so i would have to say Rudy or Friday Night Lights but my number one is Remeber the Titans because it just has so much more in the movie than just football. with all the other stuff going on you have no time to get bored during that movie.

"The Longest Yard", 1974. It was funny, dramatic, and the quality of football was believable, none of the unrealistic nonsense that most "sports" films have.
As well, the filming style (overlapping and moving boxes on screen with different images) didn't just influence film, it influence *real* sports broadcasting. It was a great film all round.
And Burt Reynolds? All his pre-moustache movies were "okay" to "good"; everything he made _after_ he grew the moustache sucked.
