Can anyone tell me the command (syntax) to load a program from the floppy disc using a floppy reader model 154? Thanks

hahaha...no, people don't use them...they are kept as collectibles...but it doesn't mean you can't turn them on from time to time

wow. talk about 80's technology

LOAD "*",8,1

* = program name
8 = your disk drive number (so if you installed it as 7, use 7)
1 = to load it into where the program header tells it to.

There are most of the command syntaxes here, but I do not remember if they are for the 64 or just for one of the emulators. GOOD LUCK!!

Actually, there are still people who use Commodores for their daily computing needs. But those people are becoming rare, even in the Commodore scene.

I assume you mean "1541" and not "154"

To get a listing of files, do

LOAD "*",8
DIR

To load a particular file by name (in this example, called 'file') do:

LOAD "FILE", 8

To load a program into the specific memory location it was designed for, such as a system utility, you must do

LOAD "FILE",8,1
