Degrassi is a tv series on The-N, also known as Noggin, for us in the US. It is a show about the lives of teens attending Degrassi Community School. Some of them have moved on to go to college in season 6. Degrassi in my opinion is one of the best shows if you like drama...it goes there! The show discusses serious issues such as rape, homosexuality, bullying, school violence, religion, relationship violence, pregnancy, abortion, mental disorders, cutting, and more in true-to-life situations that don't always have happy endings.

From Linda Schulyer, creator of "Kids on Degrassi Street", "Degrassi Junior High", "Degrassi High" and "School's Out". The Degrassi series originally aired on CBC in Canada and PBS in the United States. This show is about a group of 7th to 12th graders at Degrassi Community School.

It's a spin off of a show that came on in the 80's Called Degrassi Junior High. Some of the characters are in the new show. Basically, it's supposed to be what life is really like. But if all the crap that happened at that one school happened at any other school, it would probably be shut down.

It follows the goings on of the kids and teachers of Degrassi High...
This show was one of the first to tackle seemingly taboo subjects back in the 80's...the new one is pretty edgy as far as that goes as well, with the whole "emma getting kidnapped by the internet predator" story line...

Degrassi is a little preachy and in your face, we wouldn't have it any other way!

The original was about junior high school, then high school. Now some of the kids from the original are now teachers at degrassi high school.
Skip the recent junk - watch the old ones.

it's the best show ever, at least the newer version of it. there used to be a version created in the 80's but it never comes on any more. degrassi "goes there" with every episode. check it out when the new season begins
