I use Mac OS X and wanted to play online poker. My friends told me that Party poker has a version to use but I've never had any success playing there. Can you still do it? I'm also from the US so does that matter with the new US law?

I used to play party poker on Mac but not anymore. Since they dont take US players for real money there is no point for me. I like FTP the most.

The site I used for Mac poker rooms / casinos to find information is www.compatiblepoker.com

Unfortunately Party Poker doesn't allow us players anymore so Mac support won't make the difference. I also live and play in the US and the two best sites I've found that both offer Mac support and are open to US players are Full Tilt Poker and UltimateBet. I've posted some links below for your convenience.
