Did you go to the ER every time you took a home pregnancy test? My advice would be to go see your doctor and have a blood test done. Let him/her know about the ER visit/s and the home preg tests you took and go from there. If you're not pregnant, your doctor can check you out and run tests to figure out what's going on with your body.

I had that happen to me here about 2 weeks ago I was taking the at home tests and they were all negative but I went to the doctor a day after and they took one and it was positive. My best advice would be go to your doctor and take one there. A urine test and a blood test then you will be like 100% sure if you are pregnant or not!

It is rare and almost impossible to get a false positive. Pregnancy tests only test for hcg which is ONLY produced if you are pregnant. If she used different brands of tests, then that could explain the difference in the results. Some tests require a lower amount of hcg in the urine than others. If she looked at the first test after the time limit (usually 10 mins) then that could explain the positive as well. You can go to www.peeonastick.com for more information, and really all you could ever want to know, about pregnancy tests.
The urine tests used in ER's and doctor's offices usually require a higher amount of hcg in your urine than the tests that you can buy yourself at the drug store. www.peeonastick.com has an area where you can look at the amt of hcg that is required to get a positive on many different tests.

i had that happen to me before. took a preg test at the doctors office and it was negative. went home and took one it was possitive then took another the next day and it was positive. Finally i went back to the doctor and told him what was happening and let him know i wanted a blood test. Blood test let you know for sure b/c they can detect the hormone from 8-10 days past ovulation. and the blood test came back negative so i didn't worry with it anymore. SO if i were you i would go ask for a blood test at your family doctor. Best of luck whatever you wish.

Depends on how many days apart the tests were. The hormones the prego tests detect double every two days in your body. For example, if you tested in the ER on Monday, the hormones could have doubled and been detected in the test on Wednesday.
