No more than 2 because they might fight and you might consider getting two of the same gender because they might breed if they are not nuetered or spayed

They are social creatures (but boys and girls should be kept separate to avoid extra little Piggies running around), so I suppose the real question is how many can you take care of? I mean as long as they are well cared for I would say there should be no limit really. As long as it doesn't get out of hand...

I had a friend years ago who had like 15 of the little buggers but she took REALLY good care of all of them (it was nearly a full time job LOL).

Just make sure you take good care of them, it would be best to probably up your numbers very slowly as to not get overwhelmed, if you want more that is.

two in each Guinea pig box because it would be crewed with more than two in a Guinea box shearing the same food and water. You should get to of the same sex guinea pig unless you wont more.

They are great pets! You only really need one. They will squeak at you and it is their way of"talking". Feed them any scraps of vegetable you get and they eat Timothy hay (Wall mart is the cheapest.) Vets say to get them a vitamin C supplement. They live about 7 yrs or so. They are very smart pets.
