Well if you do not wish to pay for a website, then you should check out a free hosting, there are alot out there, I have had alot of luck with angelfire.com ( http://www.angelfire.com )
If you use free hosting, you can choose your website address.. it will more then likely be somthing like....
www.angelfire.com/me42/Miguelswebsite
Most times when you send people to your website they will will have a hard time remembering the address, and more then likely will not take the time to type it in and go to it... this is why I recomend using dot.tk
After you set up your angelfire account, you can go to this website ( http://www.dot.tk ) and then you can set up a "refrencing website", What .tk does, is that you can choose a web address and then when people go to that address they will be directed to your website at angelfire.com....
so for example in place of having...
www.angelfire.com/me42/Miguelswebsite
you can have...
www.MiguelsWorld.tk
neat huh?
well then after you got your domain set up, all you need to do it create your website. You should learn some html, and just have fun making a website.
well if you want to do "online" buissiness... then disreguard the above...
you will need a profeshinal website. People do not "trust" .tk as an extenshion, but people respect and have long honored .com
but reserving and hosting for a .com is not free.

There are software programmes such as MS Frontpage and Dreamweaver which are apparently quite easy to use. Frontpage has the usual teach yourself guide, which you can quite easily access too. Many internet companies and other places such as Waitrose (I think) also offer a certain amount of free webspace for you to build a web page. Try downloading Frontpage from the Microsoft website and see what you get.
