The Angel series was unfortunately cancelled in the 5th series despite a strong following in the USA and in UK. Seems it quite a common practise over there ~ cancel or sanitise all the good programmes and keep the dross. Joss Whedon promised that the unresolved story lines would be made into a film featuring the excellent James Marsden ~Spike in the same way he made a film for the followup for the cancelled Serenity series

The cancellation of Angel despite a strong following, and decision by the writers to end the series without providing narrative closure has contributed toward a desire by fans for further stories spinning off from Buffy and Angel.

As late as March 2006, Whedon still talked of the possibility of a TV movie involving Spike to be written and directed by Tim Minear that will somehow tie loose ends to the Buffyverse chronology.

Sorry to disappoint but Angel is cancelled for good. any rumour is just that - rumour. Joss whedon is on other projects as are the scriptwriters. the sets were dismantled after the cancellation in 2001 anyway.
D.boreanaz is in Bones. Gunn is in a legal drama Conviction. Cordy is in Veronica Mars and Fred has just had her 2nd baby & is taking time off.Hope this helps!

Haven't heard that rumour, they did leave it open enough to bring it back if they wanted to, but warner brothers made enough noise about it being axed a couple of years ago. Try their website - maybe it would have some info.

Afraid i don't know but i wish they would . Would solve a lot of unanswered questions . I am a huge Angel & Buffy fan and husband likes Spike's cheeky ,comical attitude .

I can't see that happening especially since David Boreanaz is doing his new TV show Bones.
