Becides the special effects, it was just absolutely stupid.
What are your thoughts?

Yeah, it was pretty bad. There are a lot of outraged X-men fans everywhere.

Wolverine had a dumb moment when he went into the camp thinking he could actually bring Jean back, but that's about it. I will say it was completely different from the other movies, because Bryan Singer ditched the last movie to go make Superman Returns (which I wasn't too impressed with; shoulda just stuck w/ X-Men because that movie was stupid), and while Bryan's movies were hardcore action, the new director made the last movie depressing. Cyclops killed in the first five minutes he appeared, Professor X blowing up about halfway through, etc. It wasn't truly dumb. I just thought it was depressing, and I personally prefer the first two.
The action scenes, though, lived up to the two before it.

I'm praying it's not the end of the X-Men franchise. It probably won't be. There are plans for two spinoffs. I just hope Bryan Singer will be back for the next movie.

The storyline was on par with the first two. Meaning= below average.

it was a big letdown

making the phoenix a split personally of jean grey was stupid and it should be noted she was useless in the movie

Yuppers! They killed the cutest one within the first 10 minutes so I was bored!! ;)
