Please, I saw the other day, in an american movie, a Canadian actress saying that thanksgiven was celebrated in october, not in november like the North Americans. I would like to know Please, if it is true, why and what day is celebrated. Thank you.

Yes, it is in October. I know because I worked for many years in the automotive business and sometimes we didn't get our Thanksgiving holiday off (in November) because alot of our parts were shipped to Canada which had already had their Thanksgiving holiday.

thanksgiving is celebrated the second Sunday in October in Canada.
it usually falls around the 9th of the month but not always on that day
