Good question! I do turn mine off at night but I'm not sure why or even if I need to.

It depends on whether you switch off your computer at night, but I don't think you do, or at least that it is optional. The thing about it is that broadband is on 24 hours a day anyway, because you are paying for the service which comes through the phoneline. the only reason you would turn off the hub, as I understand it is if you wanted to use normal broadband, i.e. without it being wireless.

I have a Netgear wireless modem router, so I presume your setup is the same.
I never switch mine off, so when I switch on any one of the four PCs and laptops in this house then it intsantly connects to the internet and updates antivirus files.

the wireless only activated when u go online and also u prob have landline phone connected 2it so need 2 keep it on...as i understand it u can be online 24/7 for the agreed monthly charge so u only paying 4 extra electricity

Its ok to turn any router modem off at night or when you have finished using it.
