Do the samples come in small containers or are they just the pieces of paper with the scent on it?

yep. just go to a free sample site and go to perfume and they send you a free sample right to your address

i ordered a sample of old spice cologne, and i thought it would be a little bottle, but it was a wet piece of cloth that you rub on yourself once.... had to wait 6 weeks for that!

Usually just pieces of paper with a scent, like you would get in a magazine.
