how to make a sharp projector model xg-e690u work with a notebook computer?

the notebook is a Hp privilion zv6233nr and the projetor is a XG-E690U led projector.. I want to make a powerpoint presentation. I can not get the video signal to go to the dual screen mode or just to the projector alone.....

Normally there is a Fn key and icons that look like a video screen on one of the Function keys. Hold the Fn key while pressing say F7.
