It really depends. It could be just that your foreskin is longer or stretches more than your friends. Some people have longer foreskins that'll cover the entire glans even while erect, other do not. As long as you can pull it back comfortably to expose the entire head then everything's working normally.
If you're having difficulty pulling back the foreskin while erect, then you may have a condition called phimosis. If this is the case, it's generally easily remedied with stretching exercises in the majority of cases. Take two fingers and stretch the opening of the foreskin as far as it'll go without pain (like increasing its radius) by hooking a finger on either side of the opening. It's a little hard to describe and may take a few tries. Once you get the hang of it, do it fore a few minutes each day for a few weeks to a month. That's usually enough.
Again, as long as you can pull it back when erect then it's perfectly normal. If you're having difficulty, then try the exercise above. If that doesn't work, then perhaps see your doctor. There are many options in resolving this issue and it's rather minor as is anyway.

Yes, your glan should reveal fully and completely. Also, you should be able slide the foreskin over the glan with no problems.
The only recognised solution to phymosis is circumcision. Some may suggest alternative methods, but none of them are really effective and thus advisable.
