Is it possible to revive a dead ficus? It isn't rotted, simply dried out. I want to know if my efforts will be wasted or not, lol.

First, rub your fingernail back and forth on a part of the trunk. If you see green underneath the bark, them it isn't dead, but dormant, or in shock. Continue to gently water it, and perhaps use Miricle Grow plant food on it. Ficus are sensitive, and need water, sunlight, and plant food to grow. It would also be good to place in in a bigger pot, where the roots aren't bound for it to grow. In my experience, Ficus trees will grow over 12 feet tall. So do make sure you have room for such a large tree in your home. Ficus do not like the cold, and will die if left in the elements, so move the plant into your home for safe over wintering.
Best Regards
