Who is the manufacturer and what is the model number of the printer?

Generally there should be an installation disk that will help you setup the necessary settings. However, you'll need to know a little about networking, such as the network address of your router. You computers and the printer will also need to be on the same subnet. most routers are setup as 192.168.xxx.xxx with a subnet of 255.255.255.0.

If your computers are using IP address 192.168.100.4 and 192.168.100.5 you will have to assign a number on the network address of 192.168.100.xxx (0-255; just not 4 or 5). the subnet should be 255.255.255.0. Now this is all guessing since you did not provide and information about the printer or your router.

You should go to the vendors website and get the insturction manual or find someone wit experiance.

best idea is reading the manual for the router and printer.
since the guide, is rather long if u have lost the manuals i would advise going to google and type in model of router followed by manual, like netgear 834g manual.
