It's not likely. Sperm generally live up to five days. The time in which you would ovulate would likely be after the sperm have died. You can check a planned parenthood to see if you can get the morning after pill though if it has been within 72 days of the unprotected sex.

Good luck.

Yes, you can get pregnant no matter what day it is. If your ovulation cycle is off, which a lot of women do not have a regular cycle, then there is a chance that you could either have an egg already waiting to be fertilized or an egg released within a couple days after you have had sex that is ready to be fertilized. See, sperm can stay alive inside of you for up to 3 days, so if you happen to ovulate anytime after you have had sex then you have 3 days that you are open for fertilization. Always use protection if a baby isn't wanted, if it is wanted then girl go for it! Having casual sex regularly rather then waiting around for ovulation can increase your odds of concieving. = )

Hi Angel Girl,

It all depends on your body--when your normal cycle of ovulation ends. For the majority of women, ovulation occurs at the begining or middle of their cycle. By the end of your cycle, when it's time to get your period, it's too late in your cycle to get pregnant.
If you haven't gotten your period yet, but you had sex today you're "counting and should get it tomorrow"--remember, stress can play a big role in delay of menstral flow! In other words, if you had sex this morning, planning on getting your period tomorrow and you don't get it tomorrow, that doesn't mean you're pregnant. It could mean you're so anxious about it that stress has delayed it.
If you've gotten your period, but you're still worried--take a few things into consideration--is it a "normal" flow? Is it lighter than usual?
I can't answer for 100 % that you ARE or ARE NOT pregnant, but for conception to occur, everything has to be just right--the uterine wall has to be perfect in order for an egg to plant itself down. If you get your period during that time, conditions are not exactly perfect for an egg to attach itself.
I suspect you are young and were unprepared and now you're scared to death.
Don't do this to yourself!!! If you can, please go and get yourself some personal protection: the sponge is great because you can insert it before you go out for the evening and leave it in for many hours. If you need it, it's there, and if you don't, no harm no foul.
Remember, there is no harm and no shame in protecting yourself.
I know, because when I was a teenager I played the hope and wait game. I wised up and bought myself a box of sponges and although I never "planned" on using them, I took one with me every time I knew the chance was there that I might have sex.
I was terrified my parents would find them, but I was more terrified of becoming pregnant and having to tell my parents.
This was the 80s when all I really had to worry about was pregnancy and maybe the clap (or herpes). But now, dear, you also have to worry about a whole other host of illnesses, including HIV/AIDS.
Please, if you can, encourage your partner to use condoms. It would break my heart if you weren't pregnant but you became HIV positive instead! I think your parents' hearts would break as well.
Take Care Angel Girl.

Maria

Some experts say you can get pregnant any time of the month. My mother ovulated twice per month and never knew it until she had fraternal twins. You could be the exception to the rule. There are so many birth control options out there to use until you are ready to be a mom. Including Emergency Contraception (EC), which prevents pregnancy within 72 hours after unprotected sex. But EC doesn't prevent Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) so its better to use condoms if you are not in a monogamous relationship (with only 1 sexual partner). You can go to Planned Parenthood to find out more. Good luck to you!

Angel anytime you have unprotected sex its possible for you to become pregnant. That's why you should never have sex unless you're married and if you do not wanna get pregnant then use birth control

you can get pregnant at any time if you have unprotected sex...There is no 100 percent method other than not having sex, or better said not allowing sperm in your vagina...
