Yes. You need to understand that this type of gift (seeing relatives/friends who have crossed over) comes through a bloodline. The very fact that your other relatives have had the same experience tells me that your father has something he needs to tell all of you. Listen carefully and pass the message along if it needs to be. Don't be afraid, spirits can't hurt the living.

Did your dad give you any information that you didn't already know?

My mum died about two years ago and I have had a number of dreams in which she appeared. But in these dreams there is nothing to suggest that she still continues to exist. So although it would be marvellous to have evidence that there is some form of existence after death my dreams do not provide this evidence. I am just using memories of when she was alive.

Maybe your experiences are different. I do hope so.

I lost my dad 27 years ago, so not much now, but on a rare occasion. But I lost my mum in september last year, and in my dreams she comes back and I ask her where she's been all this time, we've been worried about her. I dreamt once that we were in the hospital,[where she died] and I went for a cup of tea , and when I came back she had dissapeared. I woke up crying literally.

Dreams are often the way spirits contact us. My Opa (Austrian slang-means grandfather) has shown up a few times. I was quite close too him. He actually died 2 days before I was due to be there before Christmas, and I was heartbroken. About 2 years later,I saw a medium at a spiritualist church who told me my Opa died before I got there because he didn't want me to see him the way he was and for that to be my last memory. My Opa showed up in my dream some time later, held my hand, and told me it was the truth. I do believe loved ones will show up in dreams-maybe it is nothing more than they are on your mind. But I like to believe that they are letting you know that they will always be there for you.

Some people are more sensitive to the presence of dead relatives in their dreams. Just because you don't believe in ghosts doesn't make them not real. Just take your relatives' visits in that they care about you and are just checking in. I see my relatives sometimes, too. Its comforting to know they are still around.

My grandfather died when I was 13. I was visited several times in my dreams. Also I've seen him during the day while I'm awake. I didn't know what to believe before, and you know what? I still don't know what to believe. I'll never say they don't exist. There IS something going on. I just don't know what it is.

I believe that my grandfather visited me in a dream shortly after his death. I usually don't remember my dreams at all. But I still remember every detail of this dream even now 15 years later.

It could be psychological, a way to grief.

But here is my story. My paternal grandfather died when I was a baby. A few years ago, my mother had a dream and she heard his voice really clear. He said "do not lend G****** money". (G***** is my father's brother). Mom did not understand the dream. Weeks later, G***** came to see my parents, and he wanted to borrow money because he was in debt again. Only then did the dream make sense. How could she have known? That was the only dream she ever had about my grandfather. Today, my uncle is in permanent financial ruin but it's his problem.
