Why are there so many lesbians, either permanent (chronic) or just experimental (acute).
Women have a hard enough time getting orgasms with men, so why resort to other women?

lesbianism is not even a word or an illness is the way u are no mater what u say and u know women are better at giving orgasms to other women because we as women think more on satisfying each other instead of the men that only thinks about him gearing an orgasm

There are many reasons women resort to women for sexual contact.
For instance, if she has rejection issues with her mother, she needs to feel affirmed by a woman.
Or as was mentioned earlier, she had a traumatic experience with a man/men that left her distrusting to the point of distraction severe enough to prevent her from achieving sexual fulfillment.
It is somewhat less frowned upon for women in same sex liaisons but still strong enough to deter the easy acceptance of this identity (lesbian)
true gender confusion comes from deep set emotional crisis and can be addressed if the individual wants to change them badly enough.
Two organizations that I am aware of that help homosexuals address these issues are Exodus International and Desert Stream ministries.

What a weird question. Maybe we just are attracted to other women, get it? I mean, really, come on. A woman knows how to satisfy another woman, men just do you and roll over and go to sleep, come on, get real. Besides the softness of a woman's body is beautiful. Just like I am sure gay guys love other men's bodies.

Left to their own devices, with no pressure to procreate, all women would engage in lesbian behavior. In fact, except for the sex, and the social taboos against it, they already do.
Who doesn't like the soft and pretty and compassionate and intelligent?

Oh dear, I hope that "Root cause" is merely a slip of the tongue and not suggesting we are lesbian because of sexual abuse. Sadly this may be a contributing cause but we are created this way.

Many people think that sex is for procreation; and still others believe sex is for pleasure.
It is also said that the reason why a woman would have sex with another woman is because a woman has the same parts and knows how to make it feel pleasurable. They only do this to feel good.
(Dom't worry, the same goes for men too).

Maybe because woman know what another woman wants, so its easyer to get an orgasm. Most lesbians arnt lesbians by choice, but are lesbians just because they cant help it..they cant help the love and the lust they have for another woman.

Well, I think part of it is genetic. But I also believe that a large part of being a lesbian stems from the fact that the majority are unattractive (it's true) and, thus, suffer from low self-esteem and have issues with men. Men are mostly pretty shallow when it comes to appearance, and I believe many lesbians resort to other women bc they understand that their chances of getting a guy that's NOT a loser is somewhat low. Sorry if I offended anyone...I've concluded this simply from observing and knowing many lesbians.
