Hi,

I'm in Richardson too! I work at Coit and 635 but you have to have a High School diploma to work at my company. Most grocery stores hire teenagers. You can apply at Kroger online here: http://kroger.com/careers.htm Good luck!

Next time you ask, and they tell you that you need to apply online, and the webpage tells you that you need to apply at the store, go back to the store and say that the webpage told you that you had to apply at the store. I know that at some stores (such as Target and Walmart) around here (I'm from Michigan), they have a special computer that you have to sit at and fill the application out "online" (they will show you were it is, and how to use it if you ask), but it can only be accessed at the terminal inside the store, and not on the internet, like at home or a library.

I'm in Lewisville. The dry cleaners that I go to always has teenagers working there. I asked one if it was a good job, and she said "Great job - don't have to work nights".

If you are looking for retail, most have filled their positions for the holidays already.

Don't depend on the newspaper. Most businesses depend on people that just walk in the door and ask. They figure those individuals are more assertive and reliable.
If you don't want 'fast food' - then try specialty shops like "Ice cream stores or coffee shops (Starbucks)
You sound intelligent, and Dallas employers (like myself) are always looking for "quality" employees. People who can write, think, talk intelligently.

Good Luck and God Bless.

now iam not close to where you live but i would try fast food resturants like mcdonalds or pizzahut, or somewhere like that first, I know 16 is soo hard to find a job , You know here is a tip for you, When i was 16 my dream was to become a private detective, ok, Soo I went to the police dept, told them my age, They put me in a program, And I really enjoyed that and i got paid for cleaning a detective office for 4 hours in the summer and i learned a couple of things, It works where ever and whatever you want to do in life
