I was told by my sister-in-law that Scented/Deoterized tampons will cause Urinary Tract Infections. Is this true?

I guess I don't understand the association between using tampons and uti's.

I have never had a problem in the past, plus I would think that scented/deoterized pads would have more of a chance of causing uti's.

Any info would help. Thank you.

some people have more sensitive bodies than others, and scented or deoderized products will cause various reactions. i personally don't use them because the make me itch, as do some perfumes and soaps. if you have sensitive skin, it is probably best to avoid them, but otherwise, it shouldn't be an issue, as tampons do not come into contact with your urinary tract.

that's not an outstanding theory to apply tampons at the same time as you've a UTI. you're providing an inner breeding floor for extra bacteria and examine gotten a more durable time eliminating the UTI. Use pads and basically substitute them each 2 hours.
