Greek Cyprus is part of the EU. Turkish Cyprus is not. This is part of why Turkey is having problems entering the EU.

The whole of Cyprus is part of the EU with the exception of the British bases. The European acquis is suspended in the occupied areas of Cyprus.

Yes (Greek) Cyprus joined the EU, but you wouldn't know it if you live in Cyprus.
They break or ignore every European law and are not fit to be in the EU.
The legal system and the police are totally corrupt.
The Immigration department are hand in hand with the owners of the strip clubs and actually force women from eastern Europe into prostitution.
They (Greek Cypriots)are the most obnoxious people I have ever known.
