That is a great question... One of my friends' wife is a complete NAZI, but when she says were going to do something, we all do it. We eat where she wants to eat, watch whatever movie she wants to watch, etc. She is mean, but people listen... I'm a polar opposite, but always end up being ignored or used... I have a hard time telling people NO and they catch on and take advantage... I wish I could be more like that... LOL. My life would be so much easier...

Well I think at times you do need to be assertive to get your point across, but just be careful how you do things because things have a way of coming back to all of us..so think before you act and speak cause you wouldn't want someone to do that to you if you didn't deserve it! That side of me never comes out unless I'm being agitated and feeling threatened.

Whoa!!! You don't have to be a major anything not to be a door mat. You can stand up for yourself or what you believe in without being aggressive.

i dont know anymore its as though you lose no matter what everyone is so unhappy and judgemental that when you try to be yourself they comlain and if you syan up they hate you(whatever)
or be a doormat and life isnt fulfilling i dont know everyone wants others to follow their rules i just stay away from people now especially ALWAYS THINKIN shes cuckoo!

you dont have to be a major one and u dont have to let peoploe step all over you -- ur suppose to find the happy median between them..... speak ur mind but not too rough and be gentle just not too pushovery
