I've always put stuff off until the last minute. I'm trying to get better. Here's what I would suggest:
Reward yourself--do a little work, then do something fun (go get some ice cream, read a book, whatever) This always helps me.
Just get it over with--the sooner you get stuff done, the sooner you can relax. It helps to remember that when you just feel like putting things off. And, if you finish early, it means you don't have the weight of what you need to get done hanging over your head.
Hope that helps a bit!

Oh my gosh, I am the worst procrastinator I know. I'm in college too, but yet I still find myself turning in assignments late sometimes. It's beyond pathetic. And my last paper I had to write, I wrote the morning it was due (about an hour and a half before I had to turn it in...). So I don't know if you want my advice (lol) but I AM trying to improve. The things that help me are rewarding myself with ice cream if I get something done early (and not last minute), turning the computer off (unless I need it to do the assignment), studying in the library (boring yes, but there's nothing else to do there BUT study, so it forces you to do it), and knowing when I can have music on. If I'm writing papers or studying, I have to keep the music off. However if it's math homework, music helps me focus. So that's something you just have to figure out what works for you. Good luck, and let us know if you find anything else that helps! :)

Well I'm a procrastinator too...
For example, I did my Science Fair project the day it was due...
Well, what helps me is that I keep a time table, like, Do this tomorrow, do this the day after. It works for long term projects and it's really helpful

my husband. When our daughter was born he said he was going to get a vasectomy because he didn't want any more kids. Our daughter is now 6 yrs old and we have twin boys that are 4. He still hasn't gotten it done. But I'm glad he procrastinated.

I'm the same way...I've found that I like to reward myself.
I tell myself "ok..none of _____ until the work is done"
and then I won't allow myself to do whatever it is I've restricted myself from doing, and I put it completely out of sight and/or mind.
It motivates me to get my work done quicker.
