Hi there. I always wondered those things myself. I actually am pregnant now!!! :) What is strange is that I had irregular periods also. 2-4 days and never longer. I never got pregnant until now and I'm 25..and I was with my x fiance for 4 years. Here is how it works. Lets say you have your period on the 10th. You count 14 days from the day that you started. Which is 2 weeks after your period and 2 weeks before you get your next one. So if you start on the 10th more than likely you are going to ovulate around the 24th. I had my period on the 17th of Sept and Conceived around the 1st of October. Get it? If not fill free to I'M me. Good luck and I hope this helps. :)

That is normal. I didn't have one longer then 2-3 days until after I had two children. Your cycle may not always be exactly a month apart either, mine is 21 days which means I sometimes get it twice a month.

Irregular periods are quite normal. I battled with them myself. Unless you are pregnant, you will ovulate. Your ovary releases and egg about 2 weeks before you start your period.

You still ovulate as ong as you have a period. Determing WHEN you ovulate is the problem.
