there are two sagas , one following on from the other , and i , personally , am very surprised that no director or script-writer has thought about making them into a blockbuster film .

The Riftwar followed by the SerpentWar are great, I have them all and usually like to read them once every 2 years. Pug rules!!
They would make a great set of films, and as surprised as you that no-one has thought about adapting them. Then again you must not forget the Krondor books as well.

Magician alone is about half the length of the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy, so you would need like a dozen 6 hour films.
I think the books are brilliant, but the story would have to be utterly butchered to make them into films (look at the appalling mess Peter Jackson made of the Return of the King). I think they could make a very profitable film from them, but I hope Feist would have more integrity than to sell out and allow one to be made.

Yes, I suppose these books would make a good film, not great but good. If you truly want a couple of books that would make stupendously top-grossing movies (if the producers would get off the collective a**es) try these books:
TEMPLE by Matthew Reilly
DREAM PARK by Jerry Pournelle and Larry Niven
Either one of these because of the tech today would make mind-blowing super-blockbuster movies. Read the books then tell me different?

Fantastic books!!! They could make some good films, if they learn from thier mistakes with the LOTRs. Just think how cool it would be with all the special effects for the magic!

I have, and enjoyed what I read, too. I, for one, am very, VERY thankful that no one has tried to make a film of his books...The Lord of the Rings, The Mists of Avalon....grand adventures in books, lousy films!
