Trying to figure which computer to buy. I don't play games. Anyway, one computer says: "Processor: Intel® Core™ Solo processor T1350 1.86GHz, 533MHz FSB". While adding << Core Solo >> do we get more multitasking and speed than only 1.86GHZ?

Core Solo, is the single core processor, the Core Duo, Core Duo 2 are the ones with 2 processor cores, which enables you to multitask better, and with some selected games and software, you are able to run them faster because they are build for 2 processors.

core solo = one core meaning one processor
core duo= two cores meaning two processors

they probably say solo core not so people don't assume they are getting a core duo

get a dual core if you can afford it, down the road more application will be multi-threaded to use the multi-core processors.
