this is one of the true remaining facts to be proud of as a football fan. your question has been answered, but i felt it necessary to congratulate you for highlighting a fact which shows the better side of football for a change. with the ridiculous amount of money already involved in football other clubs could learn off this charitable act.

Yeah you are right, for the entire history of the club, Barcelona has never had a sponsor on their shirt. Until now that is, they decided at the start of this season to allow UNICEF to use their shirts. As far as i am aware there has been no money exchange hands for this deal. The shirts there for are quite rare (or will be in a few years) so if your thinking bout buying one, i would recommend it.

Unicef is the only sponsor that FC Barcelona has never had on tshirt. They are not getting paid for it, Barcelona gives money to Unicef, 1,5 millions I think. Barcelona wins in international good lookin' and sales.
Their best playes was maybe J.Cruiff, Romario, and some others. But actually Ronaldinho surprised us everyday!!!
Visca el Barça!!!!

It is true that they never had a sponsor until this season, when they paid UNICEF to have their names on their shirts.
Ronaldinho probably had a part in it, since he is a UNICEF spokesperson. It is a good cause for charity though. Well done to Barca.

yes, Barca never have been had a sponsor on their jersey since they're stand...it's about the pride of them.
but now they receive the UNICEF logo on their jersey for charity program...
Barca and UNICEF have a relationship, that Barca will continously giving funds to this organization to help children.
And the logo on their jersey is to show that Barca support the UNICEF programs...
that's so nice, i hope a lot of clubs will do the same thing...

They believe the shirt is sacred, and they miss out on contracts worth millions each year although this year they have allowed the charity Unicef to advertise on their shirts.

Yes, they never had. Their best ever player is Dutch legend Johann Cruyff. Forget about modern players, they are having a hard time catching up with olden age's players.
Ronaldhino is an exception though.
