I know anyone can edit it but realistically what loser would go on wikipedia and change the year of an event or something for fun. I don't think anyone would be that lonely to do that. Most people just vandalise pages by saying artist suck and calling certain celebs losers and stuff.

Because people do edit and place false or misleading information on the site. Plus, people tend to go to wiki, and support their findings from other sites that got the same information from wiki. That is circular duplication, and is not verification.

I agree with you, when i go on wikipedia i don't change a thing and most of them time i use it for research. I don't think they should allow people to edit it themselves.
