Why do Democrats oppose a missle defense system?

Does it not make sense that one of the few reasons the government actually exists is to protect its citizens?

Democrats can't afford to be strong on defense. The liberal zealots that make the mos donations still think we can all get along.

Because the don't work and because it is in violation of treaties.
