i have braces and they should be coming off soon. i really want to get my tongue pierced how long should i wait?

hmm... you definitely might want to wait awhile. they usually make you wear your retainers 24/7 for at least a good six months after they first take off your braces. It's gonna be annoying and uncomfortable to have your tongue ring constantly hitting your top retainer. not only that... but it takes a period of time to readjust when you talk with your retainers on. so you'll sound retarded- like slurring on your words. if you get a tongue ring and you have to wear your retainers... you'll sound super retarded.
I would suggest that you wait until you at least get the hang of talking with just your retainers.

Do Not get your tongue pierced , that is asking for a mouth full of bacteria. Do yourself a favor , don't do it !!

first ask you dentist then ask the piercer you want to go to... it shouldn't be affected but check with both to be on the safe side.

you should wait until your braces are off cos otherwise when they are taking them off they could catch you peircing and boy would that hurt!

a while because your teeth wil be sore after! and idk if getting your tounge peirced is such a good idea!
