Every woman must have at least one outfit for special occasion to make her feel good and look good. This could be a outfit that you don't worry about the cost as long as it makes you look and feel like a million bucks!!

Target sounds odd but they have great evening wear for a little price if money is a concern.

I'd say what a woman "must" have in her wardrobe varries based on the woman--where she lives, how old she is, what she does for a living, etc. "Must haves" in my wardrobe are suits, silk blouses, 'business casual' clothing, and some evening gowns. My 'after hours' must-haves include cute jeans and cool tops for going out.
If I had to pick one "must have" for a woman regardless of her age and occupation....I'd say a short, tight-fitting black dress for going out on a date or with friends.

A plain dress, simply made in a solid color that looks the very best on you that comes to mid knee. Look for one without a collar. V-neck, scoop neck or crew neck is fine as long as the V or scoop is modest. With a dress like this you can dress it up or down by adding appropriate accessories such as scarves, collars, or necklaces. Plain pumps to match. Clip-ons can add to the shoe to change them up or down. PS: Please make sure the dress fits with no tightness or pulling anywhere. (That's so tacky.)

Little black dress. Black heels, black pants and a nice set of everyday jewelry (studs and necklaces). Things that don't go out of style. And a nice winter coat like a peacoat that's mid thigh or longer.
