I was just wondering why people are so mean to people of different race.I don't get how you can think that others are below you.And did your racism begin because of a bad experience or something?

I don't understand why either. If other races are supposed to be beneath others then why did god give them the ability to communicate with others.

I am not racist, but sometimes I think it is about ignorance.
Meaning uneducated.
I grew up in an area where there were not any Blacks, Asians, or any other "different races". I can honestly say I still don't know too many people of different races, so maybe it's because I don't have that experience, that It is easier to jump to conclusions about them.

I think to an extent that many people have a little racism in them, not only whites.
We however are the ones that get the finger pointed at us most often. Is that not racism also?
People with money sometimes think that they are better than those without. Is that not the same?

I am ashamed of anyone who thinks that they are better than anyone else!!

You may HAVE more, you may be BETTER looking, but you ARE no MORE than Me.
Just what I think.

I'm not racist. Just so you know. The reasons can be the ones you stated but also people pick up their attitudes from peers and family too. But many people who are isolated from other races have experiences from other races and because of their ignorance, stereotype the rest, like this young lady:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkdsX41W7_tKGFx5UQwQdjkjzKIX?qid=20061120230755AAU1G3G

Also when you are young you don't know what is right and wrong. You get them from the people you are surrounded by.Therefore many people grow up thinking it is okay to discriminate.

Today you can be called racist for any number of reasons. I've been called racist because I said Europe is superior to Africa which it is.

Race and race relations... there are no right or wrongs because a few hundred years ago people would view current beliefs as wrong and vice versa.

Because, the white dudes have finally caught on to the fact that they are and will continue to pay for what their ancestors did, and black people in America still hate the "whitey," even though it wasn't him that did anything to their ancestors. Also, many people forget that often times it was African people who put their own people on a ship and sent them to America, not whitey going to get them. I also think that people are racist because they feel like they have contributed to this country as they have lived here their whole lives, and they feel like others are just taking. They don't realize that those others have been here their whole life too.

I guess only a racist could understand why they're racists. Because honestly, there are no legit reasons for disliking someone because of the color of their skin.
