What is X-Factor??

Every Body is always Talking about X-Factor but my question is what is it??

It's like Pop Idol (American Idol in America) except the judges actually have a say in who gets voted out and they mentor the contestants. One judge (Simon) has the under 24's, another (Sharon Osborne) has the over 24's and another (Louis...emmm, can't remember his last name, he's a big music manager in Britain) mentors the groups.
People phone in votes (just like American Idol) and the two lowest go to the judges to decide who gets voted out. Typically, a judge will save their own act (so say the bottom two are one over 24 and one group..Louis will save the group, Sharon will save the over 24 and Simon has the deciding vote)

Just like American Idol, many people who can't sing at all are featured in the beginning episodes, but don't listen to the people who are saying "it's like American Idol, but with talent" 3 of the 4 finalists this year are quite talented...espeically Leona and Ben.

The American gossip website www.perezhilton.com actually has video of Leona singing if you want to go and look for it to listen to judge for yourself how talented she is. In fact, she sometimes gets a little boring to watch just because you know she's going to be perfect and the judges are going to tell her so. Her voice is flawless. You could probably go to youtube and see a bunch of them singing. I reccommend Ben and Leona if you want to check for yourself.

X Factor is American Idol without the talent, shown on British TV

In otherwords, a bunch of wannabies in 3 catagories - Under 24, 24 and older and bands. They then vote people off like in American Idol to decide the winner.

Imagine Rock Star Supernova with people who can't sing.

When you listen to the people singing on Rock Star Supernova, then you will realise X Factor is nowhere near. Taylor Hicks or Chris Daughtry from American Idol blow everyone in X Factor away. Then you get Rockstar Supernova and listen to Dilana who then blows both of them away.

The truth is, X Factor should be compared to the Gong Show.
