Lou Pinella is one of the best managers in recent history.
He has a reputation for being extremely verbal and emotional.
He should get that Cubbie team fired up and motivated.
His bench coach (Alan Trammell)(forgive my bias) is a very knowledgeable baseball man, and should help also.
However, his presence will only be good if the players themselves are truly motivated and want to win.
I am wishing The Cubs a successful 2007.

He is Lou Pinella and he is one of the most successuful managers in MLB history. He was the manager of my mariners and tied the all time record with 116 total season wins. He does have a huge temper, which could have Cub fans seeing him less, but his actions keep the team fired up. Good luck to your cubbies.

Lou Piniella is a very good manager. He will light a fire under the Cubs butts and get them going. He was a stubborn headstrong player as a Yankee and manages the same way.
