An ipod is the apple mp3 player. Many people(including myself) think the ipod is the best kind of mp3 layer. Not only does it play music, it has games, can hold documents and picures, and has the best sound. Other mp3 players work, and tend to be cheaper, but aren't nearly as good. Some other brands of mp3 players also can do those things, but the ipod is the most widely used, especially since itunes makes music buying so easy. Also they play a different kind of format for music.

An iPod is an mp3 player. If you compare iPods to other mp3 players on the market, you'll be able to see differences. Asking how an iPod is different from an mp3 player is like asking what is the difference between a labrador and a dog.

yea
some ipods can hold movies and pics, but so can some mp3 players. i think one of the main differences is that they use a different format for the music. mp3 hold mp3 and ipods hold some other format of music. but im not completely sure

Don't listen to that jack@ss... there are certain iPods that are just straight mp3 players..... but most of them are media players... you can upload pictures, music, movie, and video files, and documents onto it.(flash drive)..and they will play the media, with just run of the mill mp3 players, you can upload documents and use it a flash drive but they will only play music.
