I think many Democrats know that the NeoCons in the Republican party have committed murder in more ways than one. I can see it in their faces when they are in close proximity to Pres. Bush. They stand at a distance with a straight face or fake smile, as if knowingly in the presence of true evil.
Pres. Bush, on the other hand, comes off as a taunting menace, as if saying, yea, we did it, so what, you can't do thing one about it, or Else: By the way "How is your boy". Ha Ha Ha Ha ! He knows he has members of the U.S. military as well as the Intelligence agencies backing him up, who are just itching to make an example of anyone thinking of crossing them.
I think the newly elected congress may want to dig into the 9/11 omissions, but will proceed with extreme caution. That undertaking could call into jeopardy the lives of powerful members of the government, on both sides. Each of which would be very motivated to protect themselves at any cost.
You can expect slow progress in this area, at least, until some of the more powerful figures that were involved are no longer in positions of power.
