Sue Grafton. Just in time for Christmas, there are also puzzles where the person reads the story and then has to put together a before the murder/after the murder puzzle without using any pictures.

Sue Grafton wrote a series with A is for Alibi, B is for Burglar, C is for for Corpse. As you can guess, it's a murder mystery series and I know it at least goes through S is for Silence. Hope this helps.

They're right. It's Sue Grafton. I have a couple of her books. But, she's up tp S, not Q.
