I'm going to be playing alternative music. I'm leaning towards the Vox because it looks cooler.

Its about the sound not the looks! The Fender has better reverb, a three band eq, a larger speaker and 10 more watts of power. Its big enough to play small indoor parties with a group the Vox isn't. The larger Vox amps win my favor hands down. I have a Vox Cambridge Twin that I gig with in small clubs and a Fender Champion 110 (specs identical to the 25RII). The Pathfinder just isn't enough amp to do anything bigger than your room.

Yeah it is cooler and sounds great i have always used Vox amps cos they're the best,

OMG!!!MY DAD HAD TO MAKE THE SAME EXACT DECISION THE OTHER DAY AND HE WAS THINKING ABBOUT THE VOX FOR ITS LOOKS BUT THE GUY TOLD US THE FENDER IS BETTER AND IT IS....WHAT A COINCIDENCE THATS SOOOO WIERD
