he isn't in power.
his job is to be the President of the Senate.
He's there to break a 50-50 tie.

he gets in power if bushy dies.
bush chose him to take that responsibility.
and the americans voted both of them in.

I think that you understandably misstated the question, I suspect that the question that you may have wanted to ask was " The VP hasn't done anything WORTHWHILE since he was inaugurated along with King George the Stupid.

I agree with most of the respondents. Dick Cheney is one of the brains behind the throne. He exercises power through the President, keeps an eye on him for his corporate/CIA/ Banking
owners and masters of the Trilateral Commission, Skull and Bones, the CFR, and other organizations of the criminal elite which own and operate the politics, "mainstream" media, regulatory bureaucracy, and major academic institutions of the USA (and much of the world).

Bush is just there as a figurehead, a public face for the powers that Cheney, Bernanke, Wolfowitz, Rove, et al. REALLY represent, the drivel of "democracy" notwithstanding.

You may not understand the political game. Their is a scale in politics from left to right. The farther left you go the more liberal you are and the farther right you go the more conservative you are, so in order to pull people from the middle if you are a farther winged republican/democrat president you have a more moderate vice-president and visa-versa.

Anywho, He was voted in democratically and will leave just the same...generally speaking vice-presidents don't do much of anything, anyways except if their is a 50/50 split in the senate at which time the vice presidents vote will be counted as the deciding factor.

The VP's job is to wait for the President to die.

If Bush lives, Dick does not have dick to do except go to funerals in the President's place.

I would love to see Cheney run for President but with his heart trouble I guess that's out of the question.

His wife could run. I would vote for Lynne in heartbeat.

Actually like him or hate him, Dick Cheney is one of the most active and influential vice presidents in living memory.

Even Bush haters admit this. Heck they complain cheney has too much influence.

Bush has done things but Bush was just following orders. Dick has a president to manage and then he has to manage all the profits from haliburton. I guess that would takeup most of his time.

i hate to disagree with you but dick has done things other than shoot a fine judge that apologized for allowing dick to shoot him. He did leak a CIA agents identity and fired scooter to make it look like scooter leaked it and he has got haliburton all those no bid contracts in Iraq that got rid of billions of those old tax payers dollars that we didn't need

Even that shooting was way off the mark.

But I think he contributed greatly to the coffers of Halliburton thorugh Iraq rebuilding and such other projects.

What you can't see is he is the evil behind the main evil. He has George Bush's ear in his lips at all times and is probably the one most responsible for the mess we are in. They are not just very public about their arangement .

US Senators-as far as I know-are ether "Reps" or "Dems", the difference between which is like the difference between two buttocks of the same ***. So they wouldn't impeach Cheney.

Did you forget that Bush is the puppet and Cheney is the puppeteer? That is why it was so sad for Cheney when his other puppet (Rumsfeld) resigned. Now there is just one puppet whose strings are being pulled by Cheney.
