I am in love with a guy who has been my friend for 6 years. We both have 'significant others' but have always kind of flirted with each other and made sexual insinuations and twice we have kissed when drunk but not mentioned it again. So, what I want to know is should I tell him how I feel or if he felt the same way would he have told me by now?

Tell him.... I was in love with a guy for 4 years who was my best friend and then he got engaged. After he was engaged I told him and he told me he had felt the same the whole time until he had given up hope and had decided to move on the year before... So if you don't tell him you'll never know and he'll never know and you'll alwayz regret it... Whats the worst that could happen, a few awkward moments... Your great friends right... Then telling him is not only right because he's your friend but if you are good friends then telling him wont end a friendship that is so close whether he feels the same or not.... He may fear loosing you just as you fear loosing him...

If you care enough about this friend to be considering telling him how you feel you probably should stop stringing your significant other along. I think it is completely possible for two people to love one another completely and be to afraid to say anything. If it were me, I would take the chance and tell him. However, it is your decision and telling him could change and complicate the friendship. You have to decide if the chance you two could be happy together forever is worth the chance that he'll decide to stick with what he knows. Good Luck

Yes, you should. If you went through life without saying anything, you would always wonder 'what if?'. But you run the risk of losing him as a friend if things don't work out, plus your significant other.

When drunk? What makes you think, he would not do the same to you...or is it you who likes to tease guys when you are drunk...If you both acted like nothing did happen..that's the reality...nothing will happen...Alcohol is just like another drug...be ready for him to say..well I was drunk...Do you need to hear more...You don't need to be drunk, to start an affair....be fair to the one you are with right now.

I think u know the answer.

tell him that u will always be there for him as a friend if he ever needs u.

he will understand.

it is then his choice and if his relationship goes pear shaped u may see him. he may decide to take ur offer up anyway!

might be the way.

trust me, men wont show feeling unless u show them first. me and my friend have been friends for 10yrs and we kissed but it didnt feel right. just get him on ur own and talk to him and see how he feels. just say something like have u ever wondered y we never went out with eachother? something like that. but dont rush in to anything cuz u could lose what u have got already.

get it out in the open and if he doesn't react in an appropriate manner (ie take you in his arms and kiss you passionately followed by a night of unbridled lust) leave straight away. It's the only way to do it.

Even if he doesn't feel the same way about you, he should DEFINITELY let him know how you feel. Think about it this way, If you take yourself out of the game for fear of losing there's absolutely NO way you're gonna win. And, he might feel the same way about you!
