All my hamster does is play on its wheel all day what should i do?

Does he have anything else to do in his cage? You need to give him some toys to occupy himself with. Here's some ideas:
Hamster tubes, toilet paper tube, wooden chew toys, a house, cotton balls or dryer lint or toilet paper to stuff into his bed, a bridge, treats hidden around the cage or inside toys, smelly things like a smelly sock, a tower to climb, different sections of cage with a tube connecting for him to explore, a small box of dirt to dig in, a laddar that goes up the side of the cage with a treat on the top, a maze, a soft blanket or towel, a shirt sleeve to climb into, roaming around on the floor, etc. There are many things you can do to keep your hamster occupied!

I reccommend the book Training your Pet Hamster by Gerry Buscis and Barbara Somerville. It has great ideas to keep your hamster entertained!

Why not try to throw in some paper towel tubes. They like to chew these up and it creates more bedding. It will give him something else to do. Also, do you have a hamster ball? its a ball you can put it in and close it up. Then it can run around your house. This will give him a different view, and he can explore.
