is it possible to ..calculate the area of a scalene obtuse triangle?

is it possible to calculate the area of a scalene obtuse triangle using the formula for caluculating the area of triangles? if so, please explain

It should be just like any other triangle: 1/2 base X height. In this case you probably cant use one of the sides as the height so you might have to measure it. Or it may be represented in your book as a little dotted line. Hope this helps.

it's the same as any triangle

base times height divided by 2
